We started receiving children at the House of Faith Orphanage (HOFO), located in
Silembe, Zambia, in March of 2008. As of the start of 2009 we were hosting over 20
children as we prepared to open our home to host these most vulnerable of children
-the Orphans.
As we have transitioned these children into their new homes, we have done so at great
costs, and further financial commitment to the community. We are currently in the
need of sponsors for these children. Ideally, we are currently asking for 2-sponsors
per child, at $50 per month for 12-months. We believe that on a long term basis we
can care for these children in the range of $50 - $70 per month, but have experienced
dramatic costs with first-time medical exams, transport, medicine, and clothing as we
welcomed these children into these homes. Should you like to participate, but do not
feel comfortable with this level of support, please feel free to give at whatever amount
you are comfortable. A few of our children follow below.
We began this work of House of Faith Orphanage in July 2007, with
a bore hole (water well) in Silembe, Zambia.
We have since sent teams to continue this work in March and
November 2008. As of July 2009, we have 28 children who live in
three homes at the community. We desire to foster a family setting
for these children as they take this time to heal, and to eventually
grow into adulthood.
We are now in the process of opening the 4th home, and need
additional financial assistance to support these children. Silembe is
located in the 'bush' and is 90 minutes from the nearest paved road.
We do have the support of the local community as we care for these
children, but much more is needed as we provide for their
education, food, clothing, and medical care.
GO! takes great pride on keeping administrative costs very low. We
have no paid staff in the US, and our team in Zambia are all
self-supported. With that being stated, you can count on your
support reaching the child you sponsor. In 2008 we experienced
less than 5% in administrative costs as we pushed our resources to
the field. We would ask that you to consider helping us in this effort
to serve His children -the Orphans.
GO! has invested $97,553 through July 2009 in infrastructure at the
project, and has spent over $23,600 in care for these children
during this time.
Children like Olivia, Joy, Stephen and Sachah require our help.
They have no voice, but for you and me. Won't you help foster a
hope in them that will never disappoint? If you won't help now, then
who will, and when? God bless you as you consider taking a step of
faith, that will give hope to a child for a better tomorrow.

Royal Mandebala came to HOFO in February 2009 when he was just 6-days old.
Little Royal comes from the village of Mbwtsai where his 3 brothers, 3 sisters,
and his Dad Kenny lives. Royal's Mommy past away during child-birth, and
Royal's father couldn't properly care for him with his other responsibilities.
Royal is the youngest child that we have received to date, and requires much
care. Please consider supporting this brand new baby as he grows at House of
Faith Orphanage.
William Sikoobwe was the Christmas Present of 2008 at House of Faith
Orphanage. When William arrived, he was just 14-months old. His mommy
passed away the day after Christmas, and his father abandoned him.
Since coming to HOFO, William has put on weight and is beginning to 'motor'
around. He's a beautiful child, and a gift from God.
William would really appreciate any support you can muster.
Joy Kameya came to us in November 2008, and was just over one month old.
Joy’s Mother was 15 years of age, and not married when Joy was born. She had
the child at a local hospital and was doing quite well. Shortly after her birth, the
Mom went to get water from the river and just dropped dead.
The locals in the area think that it was witchcraft. It may well have been a
problem of internal bleeding after childbirth that was not detected by anyone at
the hospital. Baby Komana was only 6 weeks old when her mother died. Can
you consider sponsoring Joy today!
Steward Simaubi came to HOFO in August 2008. Steward is a happy kid, and is
always in the middle of anything that is going on at the home.
Steward’s father had died in 2008. His mother was struggling to feed Steward
along with his 5 brothers and 3 sisters. HOFO evaluated the situation and
agreed to take Steward due to the lack of ability for his mother to care for his
needs. He is now getting the food and care that he needs and is doing great.
Steward would be so happy to connect with you as his Sponsor!

Stephen Mungo was received at HOFO on September 9th, 2009.
Stephen has a baby sister Evelyn who lives in the orphanage. Both children
were being raised by their 70 year old grandmother. The mother is not
responsible and is dealing with substance abuse.
Social Services in Livingstone asked if Global Orphan Relief could take care of
Evelyn and her brother as the grandmother was not able too. Stephen is a
great kid, and one of God's gifts to us; won't you considering sponsoring
Stephen on a monthly basis!
